Practice Writing Annotations - Your Turn

Writing a critical and descriptive annotation is easy once you have had some practice.  In groups (to be assigned in class), you will be evaluating a source (a Web site, an article, or a book) and writing an annotation for the source on the wiki.  This will help you to write annotations for the bibliography assignment, due February 29, 2008.

DIRECTIONS:

1. Before getting started, assign one person to be the "secretary." This person will type the annotation onto the wiki. The other group members will be responsible for evaluating the source and giving suggestions for annotation content.
2. Click on your group number below
3. Click on the link provided to review the Web site or article (or review the book I give you)
4. To edit the page, click on the edit page button and enter the password (dulibrary)
5. Enter your name and email (good wiki user etiquette)
6. Begin writing the annotations.  Follow the CRAP guidelines for criteria to include in the annotation
